![]() This Power Point Covers: What is The Plan of Salvation? What happened in my pre mortal life? What is the purpose of life? Our YW President lays out the schedule for the month and she asked that we combine all 3 of these topics. It really made sense to do this as I was preparing the lesson. The 3 outlines fit together very well and combined there is a good amount of information to cover. This lesson I thought I would involve the girls more as "teachers." As you move through the lesson it covers 3 main sections: 1) Pre mortal life, 2) Mortal Life, 3) Life after Death. I thought I would separate the girls into 3 groups (you can adjust this based on the size of your group) and assign them group #1, 2, & 3. I will give them time to study their information and then ask them to teach the rest of the girls about their section how ever they would like to. They can role play, take turns reading, teach, use the chalkboard etc. I have typed up the quotes from the slides and added a diagram of the Plan of Salvation. The PDF file can be downloaded above. It might be nice to copy the Plan of Salvation diagram for each of the girls. They can take notes on it as well as use it when it is their turn to teach. The "Plan of Salvation" is probably not new to most of the girls. However, teaching them how it applies to their life might be. I want them to think about viewing life from an eternal perspective. This might help with the challenges and problems they face at school, with friends, siblings etc. It's a good lesson for all of us! :) The idea for the handout came from Pinterest and Sugardoodle. However, I didn't see who was responsible for the original saying. I wish I knew who to give credit to! I like the "GPS" analogy and think it is spot on! Why wander and be lost when Heavenly Father has given us clear direction! If you'd like to print out the image for a handout you could attach it to anything! A square candy (Kit Kat, Nerds, Mike & Ike etc.) could be cute if you wanted to attach this image to one side and then a clipart image of a GPS on the other side of the square. (you can google "GPS clipart" and lots of ideas pop up!) or you can put a baked treat like a cookie, brownie, etc. in a little baggie and just attach the image to the front. Or you can just print it out and give it to them to put in their scriptures or on their mirror at home to remind them to stay on track! :) There were 2 suggested videos for this lesson. The one called "Mens Hearts Shall Fail Them" is WONDERFUL! I love it. It is only 3 minutes 24 seconds so I am going to download it and have it ready to show at the end of the lesson if I have time. If I don't have time, I will definitely show it with another lesson. The other video was 10 minutes long so I chose not to include it. Have a great lesson. Jen

**Please Note: Due to different versions of power point the slides may need to be adjusted after you download them. Please go through the power point before your lesson to make sure the pictures and the text are formatted correctly! I just opened a file I made using my laptop with my iPad and the font was different, colors were different and some of the pictures were in the wrong place. It may take a little tweeking! :)**
